Dobby has no master, Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby will always be there to save Harry Potter and his friends. Loyal and Brave, he was first introduced as a house-elf with subdued individualism and will put his foot down for what he thinks is right. He is a pitiful character and I have a soft corner for his valiance.
Dobby lived his life on his terms and never gave into fear. The Malfoys ruthlessly mistreated him and yet Dobby took the bold step and risked disobeying his inhumane masters to warn Harry about the Chamber of Secrets. And not just once, Dobby tried to maim or seriously injure Harry Potter again and again (as to save his life, of course).
Unlike other house-elves, who find it honourable to be enslaved, Dobby possesses an eccentric idea of Freedom. Extremely fond of socks, Dobby is sentimental and his little acts of kindness melt my heart. Dobby vouched for and took great care of Winky, the Crouch family house-elf. I think that Dobby was a good influence on Kreacher and gave him a push on the right path, urging him to fight alongside the order in the battle of Hogwarts.
Dobby values his relations above all and gladly took a dagger for Harry and his friends. The warm-hearted and Brave spirited Dobby I knew and trusted would sacrifice for the greater good without hesitation.
“Such a beautiful place, to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend, Harry Potter.” ~ Dobby, The free Elf.
